CHAMPIONS START WITH A WIN

Rangers'
under 18's kicked off the defence of their South East Conference
title with a hard fought 3-2 victory over Peterborough at
Harlington on Saturday.
With several
regulars having either stepped up to the pro-ranks or been let go at the
end of the season it was all change for Steve Brown's first starting
eleven of the campaign.
Nikki Bulmer
started in goal with the back four made up of Michael Harriman, Ed
Harris, Michael Wright and Femy Ilesanmi. Former under 16's skipper
Terry Smith, Danny Davenport and Max Ehmer were in midfield whilst
summer signing Christian Nanetti, Antonio German and Danny Fernadez
provided the attacking threat.
The visitors took an early lead after
just four minutes but Rangers soon found themselves in their stride and
levelled through a Nanetti free kick before the young Italian secured
his brace to give the R's a 2-1 half time lead.
After the break
Smith put some distance between the sides when he bagged one from close
range to make it 3-1 and, despite pulling the score back to 3-2, the
visitors were unable to take anything from the game.
