YOUNGSTERS DRAW
AGAIN
Monday 10th September 2007
by Ron Norris
The under 18's drew their second successive
game after coming from behind at Wycombe on Saturday morning to
extend their unbeaten start to the season.
Manager Steve Brown made one change to the starting
eleven that faced Luton last week as Cyrus Vanterpool dropped to the
bench to be replaced by Chris Arthur.
The R's fell behind just before the break, defender
Ed Harris was forced off with an injury and his replacement, Michael
Wright, barely had time to settle into the back line before the ball was
in the back of the net.

The second half saw Vanterpool return to the side off the bench along
with last seasons breakthrough performer, Angelo Balanta. It was
Vanterpool who got Rangers back on level terms midway through the half
when he headed home Folkes' cross to earn the lads a second straight 1-1
draw.
Rangers now sit in fifth place in the fledgling
league table after three games but that's the last league action they
will see until November. For the rest of this month and all of October,
all our games are from the Youth Association Cup group stage. First up
is an away trip to Brentford this coming Saturday, and we'll have news
on how that went online next Monday.
QPR: Goodchild, Coyne, Harris (Wright),
Ford, Brown, O'Brien (Vanterpool), Maguire, Arthur, German, Rose
(Balanta), Folkes. Subs not used: Crowther, Parker.
