YOUTH TEAM MAKE IT 8
IN A ROW
Monday 3rd March 2008
by Ron Norris
The last two weekends have seen the under 18’s rack
up another two victories with Luton Town and Peterborough United the
latest victims.
After seeing off The Posh 5-1 in the Youth
Association Cup quarter final a few days earlier, The R’s continued
where they left off by sticking another four past them at Harlington two
weekends ago.
Full back Billy Coyne got the scoring underway
from the penalty spot before Josh Parker and Josh Ford added two more
with Parker ending the scoring with a second penalty for Rangers.
Then, this Saturday, the young R’s saw off Luton Town
to extend their winning league run to eight games. Things were a little
tighter in this one though, the match finished 1-0 with Rangers forcing
an own goal just after the hour mark.
Next weekend Rangers have the chance to compound
their dominance at the top of the division when we welcome Wycombe to
Harlington, that one kicks off at 10:45. |
