THREE STRAIGHT DEFEATS
Monday 31st March 2008
by Ron Norris
Rangers' under 18's slipped to their third
consecutive defeat on Saturday afternoon going down 3-1 at home to
Harlington.
After crashing out of the Youth Association Cup
over Easter The Young R's were free to concentrate on their league title
chase but have now failed to win in the last three league matches.
Lee Brown scored Rangers' consolation goal in this
one, his first of the season, after Gillingham had secured a 2-0 half
time lead and wrapped up the points early in the second period.
Our lead in the South East Conference is now down to
three points over second placed Leyton Orient and there is a further
point between them and Gillingham in third. However Rangers do have a
game in hand on both sides.
Next week could be crucial in the battle to retain
the league championship when Leyton Orient visit Harlington, if we can
win that one that would leave us six points clear with three to play
whilst Orient would only have another potential six points available to
them.
