YOUTH TEAMS FORM
SLIPS
Monday 17th March 2008
by Ron Norris
Rangers' under 18's have seen their red hot form
cool a little over the last couple of weeks, last weekend they shared
the points with Wycombe and this Saturday they slipped to their first
league defeat of the season.
The Wycombe game turned out to be a cracking
affair, after finding themselves behind The R's struck back twice to
take the lead. The equaliser came from Terry Smith, scoring his first
goal at this level, before Aaron Morgan-Cummings made it 2-1. However
Wycombe levelled shortly before the break. Chris Arthur restored the
lead but the visitors struck back once again to earn a 3-3 draw.
This Saturday Rangers travelled to face strugglers
Barnet but ended up on the wrong end of a shock 1-0 defeat.
Despite the recent results we still have a big lead
at the top of the South East Conference table, we are seven points clear
of second placed Gillingham, who we meet in our next league fixture, and
we have a game in hand over them. We also have a goal difference that
totals more than the rest of the top five combined! |
