BALANTA BATTERS BARNET
Monday 22nd October 2007
by
Ron Norris

Rangers’ under 18’s bounced back from their defeat at Plymouth last weekend and secured their progression to the knock out stages of the Youth Alliance Cup with a good win over Barnet.

Chris Arthur opened the scoring shortly before the break to give Steve Brown’s side a deserved lead and The R’s dominance was rewarded with three more goals in the second half.

Romone Rose doubled the home side’s advantage just after the hour mark before a double strike from the on-fire Angelo Balanta sealed a 4-0 victory.

The win ensures Rangers will play in the knock out stages with a top five group finish now a certainty. However before the draw is made we have one more group fixture to complete when we welcome Bournemouth to Harlington this weekend.
