UNDER 18's
BACK ON FORM
After a run of three straight
defeats Rangers' under 18's got back to winning ways on Saturday
with a 2-1 victory at Wycombe Wanderers.
Joe Gallen made five changes to
the side that lost heavily to Brighton last weekend. Alex Sethi
returned at left back, there were three changes in midfield with
Andrew Howell, Tamba Ngongou and Chris Arthur all coming in
whilst Jacob Child started his second game of the season.
Rangers took the lead shortly
before the break when Bradley Bubb's cross found the feet of
Ricky Sappleton who slotted home his eighth goal of the season.
Wycombe levelled things up after 52 minutes but Rangers were
back in front five minutes later as centre back Jonathan Munday
continued his fine scoring run to head home his fifth of the
season.
Wycombe's hopes of winning the
game were further reduced shortly afterwards when Boateng was
sent off for picking on Alex Sethi. First his put his hand in
Sethi's face but escaped with a warning, he was then booked for
fouling him and was finally red carded after stamping on the
unfortunate defender right in front of the officials.
Wanderers tried to rally with
ten men and put some pressure on the Rangers goal in the closing
minutes but couldn't capitalise on their chances and The R's
held out to take all three points and retain second place in the
division.
