UNDER 18's
PULL IT BACK AT POMPEY
Rangers under 18's came back
from two down against bottom club Portsmouth to earn themselves
a draw on Saturday.
Joe Gallen found a familiar face
in the opposite dug out on Saturday afternoon as former Rangers
flop Brett Angell is now in charge of the Pompey youth side.
The first half proved to be
something of a struggle for Rangers as they quickly found
themselves two goals behind. Pompey struck first after the
quarter hour mark when Louis Bell finished from a corner to put
the home side one up. Five minutes later Bell laid on a chance
for Giovanni Torre which he finished to make it 2-0.
Rangers found a way back into the
game just before the break though when Adam Bernard broke
through to make it 2-1 and Ricky Sappleton scored his eighth of
the season ten minutes from time to ensure the points were
shared.
Rangers now find themselves third
in the conference table, just a point behind second placed
Rushden, who have played a game less, but nine points off
runaway leaders Brighton.
Our next under 18's fixture is
on Saturday 21st January when we take on Southend United at
Harlington. Kick off is at 10:45am. |
