GIANT RAY CAUSES COBBLERS
PROBLEMS
Rangers Under 18’s side ran out 3-1 winners against their
Northampton Town counterparts on Saturday morning. In a game
played at the new Harlington training ground, Joe Gallen’s lads
had to cope with a blustery wind and some clown buzzing them
with a remote control plane!
Rangers went two goals up in the first half hour thanks to
scrappy goals from Ricky Sappleton and Ray Jones. The first was
a shot that seemed to be deflected from a corner and the second
came after good work on the left from the fleet footed Bruno
Luz.
Northampton pulled one back before the break when a corner from
the left was defended poorly and the Cobblers man was allowed a
free header at the near post. Half time gave a chance to get out
of the wind and get a sausage butty on board before legging it
out for the second half whish had started early.
