Rangers youth team fell to a 1-0 defeat against Bristol Rovers in the second of our five Youth Association Cup group games.

An unusually experienced side, which included Scott Donnelly and Shabazz Baidoo, were beaten in the last minute by a Darren Mullins goal which earned Rovers all three points.

The defeat leaves Rangers in third place in our group with three points, a point behind first and second placed Brentford and Leyton Orient. Rangers need to finish top of the group to move into the knock out stages.

With games to come against Brentford and Orient though as well as fourth placed Portsmouth, things are still wide open for Joe Gallen's lads.

Our next youth team game is a league fixtures, against Portsmouth on 8th October to be played at Rangers training ground Harlington with an 11am kick off.
