UNDER 18's BEATEN BY BRIGHTON

After the FA Youth Cup exit, Rangers' youngsters were back in league action on Saturday but were soundly beaten by an inform Brighton side.

Joe Gallen was able to name a near full strength team for the visit of the league leaders, with eight of the side having featured against Villa last Wednesday.

Tim Sandercombe returned in goal with the defensive line up Karl Yelland, Adrian Goode and Jonathan Munday joined by under 16's player Adrian Moyles at left back. Matt O'Connell, Harry Smart, Stefan Bailey and Bradley Bubb made up the midfield four while Ricky Sappleton and Ray Jones were the big man - big man pairing upfront.

Brighton proved too strong for The young R's though, having taken an early lead they went 3-0 up at the break. Jonathan Munday scored his fourth goal in an impressive season to make it 3-1 in the second half but Albion put the result beyond doubt with their fourth a few minutes later.

QPR: Sandercombe, Yelland, Goode, Munday (Hussey), Moyles, O'Connell, Smart (Ngongou), Bailey (Bernard), Bubb, Sappleton, Jones.

The under 18's are in action again on Saturday when they travel to face Wycombe Wanderers.
