ARTHUR SCORES AS
RESERVES LOSE
Monday 31st March 2008
by Ron Norris
Chris Arthur scored his first ever reserve team
goal tonight but it wasn't enough to see off Watford who came from
behind to win 2-1.
Rangers fielded a side consisting of six trialists
and, in the absence of every other 'keeper, coach David Rouse started in
goal! Romone Rose, Matt O'Brien, Arthur and Angelo Balanta were the only
familiar names on the team sheet.
The trialists were Ugo Udoji, how has previously
played for Rushden and Diamonds, Joe Ostler, Elliot Braithwaite, Femi
Kesanmi, Ben Hunt and Andreas Govas, a Greek under 19 international
player who was previously with Portsmouth. You would imagine that these
are mainly trialling out for youth team spots next season.
The defeat leaves Rangers marooned at the bottom of
the combination table with four games to play. The next fixture is
scheduled in a couple of weeks time when we travel to face London rivals
Millwall.
QPR: Rouse, Udoji, Ostler, Braithwaite,
Kesanmi, Rose, O'Brien, Govas, Arthur, Hunt, Balanta.
