Ray Jones scored twice as the reserves came back from two down at Bournemouth to draw 2-2 on Tuesday. Joe Gallen took control of the second string for this match and named the rehabilitating Marc Bircham in his starting eleven.

Jake Cole started in goal behind a back four of Aaron Goode, Dominic Shimmin, Mauro Milanese and Andrew Howell. Shabazz Baidoo, Stefan Bailey and Rohan Ricketts made up the midfield alongside Bircham while Jones was partnered upfront with Stefan Moore.

Rangers found themselves two down inside the first half an hour through two headed efforts. First Giovanni Torre’s looping effort deceived Cole to find the back of the net whilst Scott Sampson powered his home to double the lead.

However Jones struck back twice for The R’s either side of the break, knocking home simple efforts after good work from Bircham for the first and Moore for the second.

The result leaves Rangers in fourth place in the Combination league table and we finish our fixtures next Monday against Crystal Palace at Loftus Road.

QPR: Cole, Goode, Shimmin, Milanese, Howell, Baidoo, Bircham (St Aimie), Bailey, Ricketts, Jones, Moore (Arthur).  Subs not used: Goodchild, Coyne, O'Brien.
