Rangers’ reserves let a 3-1 lead
slip against Millwall this afternoon
and ended up drawing the game.
However it wasn’t all bad news,
Martin Rowlands played the first
half of the game as his first team
comeback draws closer.
Jake Cole started the game in goal,
in front of a back four of Ugo Ukah,
Ryan Johnson, Mauro Milanese and
Matthew Hislop. The returning Rowly
joined Scott Donnelly and Adam
Miller in midfield whilst Gary
Waddock field three strikers in
Stefan Moore, Luke Townsend and
Shabazz Baidoo. Youth team regulars
Jonathan Munday and Andrew Howell
made second half substitute
appearances.
Rangers stormed in front through two
free kicks, firstly from Matthew
Hislop and then Scott Donnelly
stepped up to make it 2-0 from
twenty yards.
Millwall found a way back into the
game shortly before the break
through Kevin Braniff, then, on his
return to action following a broken
wrist, Luke Townsend looked to have
wrapped up victory when he put
Rangers 3-1 up after the restart but
Ben May and Braniff’s second of the
game meant the two sides shared the
points. |
