A
young Rangers reserves side ended up
sharing the points with Brighton in
tonight's re-arranged Combination
League fixture.
Rangers lined up with Jake Cole
making his return between the
sticks, Karl Yelland, Ugo Ukah,
Jonathan Munday and Andrew Howell
made up the back four, Scott
Donnelly, Stefan Bailey, Georges
Santos and Luke Townsend were in
midfield with Stefan Moore and
Shabazz Baidoo paired upfront.
Gary
Waddock was said to be using the
game as a chance for his younger
squad members to impress him ahead
of Saturday's trip to Burnley for
which he has promised changes. If
that was the case then midfielder
Scott Donnelly can have done himself
now harm at all after giving Rangers
the lead after just a minute.
Unfortunately for The R's Brighton's
Argentinean striker Federico
Turienzo, who is making a comeback
from a hamstring problem, levelled
things up for the home side to earn
The Seagulls a share of the points.
The
reserves are next in action a week
on Tuesday when they play their
penultimate game of the season away
to Reading. |
