Firstly Andrew Davies, who saw a transfer to QPR fall apart recently, has re-joined the club on loan, for the rest of the season. He will be available to play in midweek trip to Derby. Ian Holloway is keen to bring the player to Loftus Road permanently and will be hoping that this long term loan is the first step towards achieving that. Simon Royce is also staying at QPR; the Charlton keeper has extended his loan for another month meaning he will be a Rangers player up to and including the Sheffield United away game on April 9th. As a result of Royce’s move, Chris Day looks set to stay at Preston for the same period of time at least. Aaron Brown became the third player to sign a QPR contract today when he inked a deal that will take him through to summer 2006. Brown has been on trial since the start of season, he was released by former club Bristol City after breaking his leg in a collision with Marcus Bignot last year. Hopes that Brown’s former team mate, Tommy Doherty, would soon join him at Loftus Road were dashed today though. Rangers had put an offer in to loan the out of favour Ashton Gate skipper with a view to a permanent move in the summer. However we have now pulled out of the deal with Mark Devlin telling the official website “we are not prepared to be held to ransom in terms of the fee”. |
