Monthly Awards Vote – October

Another month is behind us and once again it’s been a mixed bag of massive highs and spectacular lows and we only played four times! It’s time to place your votes in the monthly awards.

Those four games saw us play two at Loftus Road and two away and included three London derbies. We remained unbeaten at Loftus Road but lost both matches on our travels, one of them in spectacular style.

First up was the trip to Fulham which ended in that staggering 6-0 tonking but things were shored up a little at home to Blackburn when Heidar Helguson’s first of the season helped us to a disappointing draw.

That was followed by the visit of Chelsea and if this 1-0 doesn’t romp the match of the month vote I’d be very surprised! Helguson made it two goals in two games to see off the old enemy.

The month’s fixtures were rounded off at Tottenham when Rangers put in a real game of two halves performance but just didn’t have enough to live with a rampant Spurs side who won 3-1.

That means there are just three strikes to choose from for the goal of the month category with Helguson’s two set to compete with Jay Bothroyd’s first for Rangers scored in that defeat at White Hart Lane. Will this be the first time a penalty wins this award?

As for the players, Neil Warnock used eighteen different names in October, one goalkeeper, seven defenders, five midfielders and five forwards and the likes of Paddy Kenny and Anton Ferdinand will surely be amongst this months front runners.

To have your say simply complete the form below, include your name and your choices for each category (all the players, games and goal from October are listed on the drop downs) and, when you are happy with your selection, press submit to send us your vote.

We’ll announce the winners on the site next week - thanks for taking part.
