QPR V SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1-2 FT

Postby pamment8 » Sun Apr 16, 2017 7:55 am

Need a win to ease the fears that we could go down.
We should adopt the ALLERDYCE attitude IF YOU CAN'T WIN DONT LOSE.
A draw would not be so bad but we're at home.
Lost 1-0 at their ground under JFH who thought we deserved a point. :tu

So it is looking as if we have to rely upon beating top sides to lift any relegation threat! Cannot believe we have got to this stage....
Hoops are coming home, coming home!

If we lose tomorrow we will have to rely on other results of sides below us
If Blackburn win and we don't,could be squeaky bum time

We should not be looking for points to make us safe.
Well not this late in season.
And I think eyes are open with the owners.
You don't experiment until your safe.
OLLIE needs a win. :tu

We could lose all 4 remaining games and I still fancy us to stay up.

Under Holloway we have had bizarre runs, loads of defeats then unbeaten, loads without a win then consecutive wins before loads of defeats again.

Blackburn v Bristol city
Birmiingham v burton

These are the 2 fixtures we have to keep an eye on if we lose today
I fancy the first game to be a draw
And Birmingham to lose as they are bang out of form with zola

We might well lose today but ...
Rotherham are already down
If Wigan lose at Brighton they won't be able to catch us
Blackburn need 7 points to catch us from 4 games. If they fail to beat Bristol City they will need 2 wins from 3 games.

Even if Blackburn catch us, we'd also need 4 other teams to catch us:
Burton need 5 points (they still have to play Leeds & Reading)
Forest need 5 points (they still have to visit LR)
Birmingham need 3 points (but will probably take some of those points from Burton & Bristol City)
Bristol City need 3 points (quite possible given their form and fixtures)

It would take a real freak set of results for us to go down.

Good analysis ghost mate
I don't want us to rely on others to stay up
We should be able to do it on our own results, not keep losing and hoping for the best

Great analysis Ghost, plus like you have highlighted they are all playing each other - Birmingham play Bristol City on the last game, Burton and Birmingham play today - they can't all get all the points they need to all overhaul us. Plus we are likely to at least pick up 1 point or maybe 3 in the last 4 games.

Although our form is shocking I don't see a scenario where we go down.

I've been on some prediction leagues
And worse case scenario we can go down
Yes it would take some freak results but I'm still on edge

I am unhappy that we are in this 'squeaky bum' position but do agree with your comments NWhoop! No matter what, they are playing better football under Ollie than under JFH or Ramsay - I would just prefer the excitement to be goals scored at the 'right' end more!!

Just seen the team and cannot work out the line-up!
Smith,
Robinson, Perch, Lynch, Bidwell (?)
Luongo, Manning
Mackie, Freeman, Petrasso (?)
Sylla

With a bench of Ingram/ Goss/ Lualua/ Wszolek/ Ngbakoto/ Washington/ Smith :confused
Hoops are coming home, coming home!

Shocking team selection yet again. We are NOT safe yet. Scored most goals with Smith and Washington up front and both on bench!!! If we get relegated from here Ollie will wipe out any good he's ever done. Not a happy fan today
