We could have got a draw though but for Smithies error and Sylla hitting the post when we were shocking so that is a good sign. Manning and Freeman far too similar to play together too I'd say, was sometimes hard to tell which one of them was giving it away. It just was not our night.

Agree with all those points NWhoop! I am presuming that Derby under Rowlett did not play how Ollie expected, because there could have been no other reason for focusing upon the middle of the pitch and relinquishing the wings to Derby. Was the plan for Bidwell and Furlong to maraud down the wings and provide the missing service for the strikers, whilst the centre held firm? If so, it was a mistake that should have been resolved through an early substitution or playing Wzsolek where he does best - out on the wing (unlike Ngbakoto he does track back). Instead we saw Furlong's inexperience punished as he was positioned incorrectly or just taken on and beaten. Having 3 centre backs covering did not work this time. A draw would have been a lucky result!
