Plus I like going to Huddersfield!

Good point! :wink

Go back to proper automatic promotion first 2 up.
Stop funding FA coffers until they change.
I understand some like play offs but fans ripped off. :tu

Would you only want the top 2 up or top 3?

I like the play off's personally but understand the arguments against them. I just feel that without them about 16 teams would have nothing to play for by February. And it fills stadiums and increases the audience for the Football League.

I imagine that those in charge of the game would be more likely to introduce additional relegation play offs rather than get rid of the promotion play offs!

I like the playoffs, as Northwest says it keeps the league alive a lot longer.

They are unfair when a team 20 points behind you all season gets to top league. :tu

I don't disagree that it is technically unfair but everybody now knows that is how it works. So teams need to prove they are 20 points better in the playoffs.

And there is rarely a 20 point split anyway!

I highly doubt you stayed sat in your seat when Zamora bent it into the top corner because you felt it was unfair on Derby! :rofl

I agree, unfair but exciting none the less. Surely its better for all the top half teams to have some hope with say ten games to go than everyone watching games with nothing riding on them.
What a day that was at Wembley.

I'm fully in favour of the playoffs while agreeing they are unfair on the team that comes 3rd.

An alternative would be top 3 go up automatically and the next two have a semi final play off and the winner plays the team that come 4th from bottom in the Premier league to either go up or stay up, what do you think?

Yeah, that would be exciting...you should work for the FA!

There is no way the Premier League would sign off on possibly 4 teams going down in that scenario. All current Premier League teams would have to agree to it and none would.

Plus the only way the FA would include a Premier League team in the play offs would be to have 2 down and 2 up, then 3rd bottom in the Premier League is in the 4 team play offs with 3rd to 5th in the Championship - but then you could end up with only 2 teams going up.

So it should (and will) stay as it is!
