Thing I've noticed

Not heard much from Tonto and Basingstoke R lately
Both were main posters on here and seem to have gone quiet on us

Tonto got his knickers in a twist over negativity on the forum around Christmas (when we had lost 6 in a row).

It was positivity all the way or the highway!

Basingstoke hasn't been on since November.

Basingstoke was very opinionated and sounded very intelligent
He would basically ask people to explain their posts more in detail and prove it was fact not hot air
Fair enough I spose but it's lighthearted on here not that political and deep
No disrespect to him and hope he still looks on here taking a butchers
Tonto had very strong views too and I agree when we were losing why should we be positive
Both loyal QPR fans and hopefully they will come back on one day

Agree - a forum needs a wide range of opinions! :wink

No disrespect to anyone on here, and I'm just as guilty
But I've noticed a lot of subjects don't get many posts now
It's only after games we seem to give our opinions
Look at replies on posts not over 20 on most subjects
I came off for a bit due to health reasons and I'm getting good care now
I'm always peeking to see new posts and only prediction league seems to flag up unread
It's a shame as this a much better forum than any of the others

Yes we are all entitled to our views good or bad.
But we were being asked not to express any bad comments. :tu

This forum is better to me because it is smaller, you know what you put is read and replied to most of the time.

Other forums have the opposite - too many people so opinions get glazed over amongst vast amounts of replies.

We could do with a few more people overall and nobody new has joined since last summer. I think people thought qprnet closed altogether but the forum is alive and kicking! Maybe the website needs to make the forum more prominent on the home page?

Or make it so that clicking onto qprnet.com via google for example takes you direct to the forum rather than the redundant home page? One click to the active part of the website rather than two.

Plus it only says "message board". Maybe it should say " live forum" or "live message board".

Or qprnet account could tweet (3300 followers,)/put on facebook that the forum is still very much alive. Publicity.

Just ideas!

Seldom do people read what is written and jump straight away on anything.
I know my views are not always accepted but I enjoy people's take on them.
Even when you all know I'm always right. :tu

This is definitely the best forum. It helps that it is small so you get to know the personalities. We do have the odd flare up but mostly it is sensible debate and everyone just expressing their views.
I read everything that is posted even if I don't post as much as some others. Keep it up everyone - and I'll try to put my thoughts into words more often.
I also like the fact that it isn't full of ads.

UTTER b*ll*cks

If we're talking about Tonto he left because he felt there was more negativity on the forum. He never told anyone not to "express any bad comments". He left because he didnt want to read them. He, or nobody else, told you not to express them. The problem has arisen because the majority of those who post, do so when they are unhappy about something. When that happens, those who are positive, tend to stop posting because interesting threads become less so when every few answers is a one liner designed to be negative or stifle debate.

Its a real shame.

In pamment8's defence by Tonto leaving because of negativity that is kind of him saying "stop being negative or I'm leaving".

He may not have directly said "don't post bad comments" but his little self indulgent "me:stay or go" thread was effectively that. It was the equivalent of "be more positive or I'm off".

I agree with you about one liners though, they add little.

NORTHWEST that's true but VARC is just doing what he accused me of he's talking bullocks.
He did not want us posting anything bad.

No, I have stated the facts. He did not say "Do not express bad comments". You have clearly taken that personally. Cant think why. You have also interpreted what he was saying as dont be negative or I'm off. I have interpreted it differently.

This is a very sad time for this forum.
