QPR Match Prediction Competition 2016/17 – Match 34 Results

Postby northwesthoop » Sun Feb 26, 2017 1:05 am

Only myself, jimjams and LurkR predicted Preston would win 2-1. singlespeed was the only other player to even predict a defeat.

qprallan nailed a brilliant prediction getting Lua Lua as first scorer when Lua Lua hasn't even been starting until today!!

kingfisher, jimjams, ashqpr, CutePR, Ghost, QPRBex and Varc got the 31-45 first goal time

Surprisingly 5 players got that the bonus match would end 2-2 - a scoreline that isn't that obvious. kingfisher, jimjams, QPRBex, MCM Hoop and LurkR all bagged the full 3 bonus points!

The result is that we have the biggest gap at the top of the whole season to date. Ghost is up above e17hoop into 2nd but I have pulled 12 points clear of Ghost. The previous highest lead we had was e17hoop who was 11 clear back after Match 20. It's actually the biggest margin at the top since Match 30 two seasons ago in 14/15 when Rosco Bosco was 12 clear of singlespeed.

jimjams did superbly to get 12 points and was a first scorer away from the full 18 points haul. jimjams jumps up from 14th to 11th and joins a group of 8 players separated by just 7 points between 6th and 13th. The lower mid-table group have really closed in on those above over the past 2 weeks.

LurkR AGAIN scored impressively with 9 points and is up to 5th - a rise of 7 places in a month and LurkR has gone from 12 points above the bottom 3 to just 11 off the medal places in that time. If LurkR continues to average 9 points a game as he has in the past fortnight even the title remains a possibility!

SuperHoop and stanley67 remain absent so it looks like there is sadly just a fight for the 1 remaining Wooden Spoon. ashqpr picked up 3 points but is now 5 points off Varc. qprallan is up to 16th after a decent week; above ranger-boy who also forgot to enter this round.

QPRBex is into the top 10 after scoring 25 points in a week, a turnaround in form which means he will also now surely be looking up rather than down for the first time this season.

Rosco Bosco, surrey chad and pamment8 in 6th, 7th and 8th all failed to score and they will be the opposite of LurkR and QPRBex - suddenly worried about their top half positions when they were close to the medals not so long ago.

There are 3 matches in a week again from next Saturday, I've put all the matches up so if you think you won't get online again get your predictions in now!!

Thanks Northwest.
QPR and I have been moving up & down together, but it is sad to see me rise to 13th, whilst QPR sit on 16th! Happy for that situation to be reversed!! :wink
