QPR V HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 1-2 FT

Postby pamment8 » Fri Feb 10, 2017 3:12 pm

Well we know they will arrive super fit and play a pressing game under their german head coach.
He has turned an average team into a decent unit this season.
We lost by the odd goal when they were at home and top of table.
We were 2-0 down until SYLLA scored in 78 min.
But this is a must win game. :tu

They will have much of the ball and we will play on the counter because that allows us to play our best, their press doenst concern me as we will play a big man up front who can hold the ball and bring the wingers into play.

Disagree with it being a must win though.

It's going to be like an away game
I can't see us stopping wells and co scoring to be honest
On current form and Holloways weird tactics can't see more than a straight forward defeat
They are a very organised team who will control the game from start to finish

Really like Huddersfield and hope they do well.

Just not today!

Blackburn have a game in hand, we could be 3 points above the bottom 3 tonight. Not must win stage yet but points now will take the pressure off going forward. Somehow we have gone from looking at a top half finish (which may still be possible) to look over our shoulder again in the space of 2 weeks.

I think we may look back on last weeks game
And say that's the game that effectively sent us down
We have to find some sort of form and soon
We tend to beat better teams and lose or draw to the lower teams, home and away
I'm genuinely worried now if I'm honest,if we lose today

Holloway did say he'd get us to another league when he joined
League one by the look of it
We still have no goals in the team
We should of got rowett, brum been rubbish since he's gone

Holloways team selections and tactics baffle me
How's many is that has he lost now
I agree he should go but he won't I'm afraid pamment mate
He has enough in the team to keep us up,but can he is the question
He's clueless at the moment
Just when you think we've turned a corner we end up back in the mire again
The burton and Blackburn losses are the ones that have put us in this mess
Huddersfield are a good side so expected nothing today anyway

If Blackburn and Wigan win their games in hand this week... Wow, we will be in the mire!

Plus we've gone into another lull after a good run at the turn of the year. Other teams are finding more confidence.

Gary Rowett won't be available for much longer..........

We also have Birmingham away which is a tricky game
They lost to Sheffield weds last night but had plenty of chances
They looked pretty good going forward not so good at the back
Can't believe were relying on other results going our way again
We still haven't any goals in the side for some reason
Blackburn won't beat sheff weds away they are on fire
Wigan will struggle at wolves
Then again surprise results can happen in this league
On a positive note we gave Huddersfield a game and their manager thought they were lucky to hold on
We created chances and Luke freemans goal was a corker
We're not a bad side on paper but it's the way we're organised and set up in games by Holloway, that's
Making us look disjointed and lacking the cutting edge to win games
Huddersfield's first ever league win at loftus road rubs salt in the wound

Just seen the video of the full 90 mins and have to say that we were worth a 2-2 draw! The obvious handball in the penalty area looked deliberate (but the Asst Ref could not see it sadly) and the foul on Smith looked to be a penalty any day (where/when was the offside)!!

What was noticeable was the positive impact of the subs, but this has as much to do with the odd decision to make Wzsolek that missing RB. To nobody else's surprise Huddersfield targeted the weaker RHD... After the first goal we continued to look troublesome for Huddersfield (who are playing very well) but we never seemed to have control of the midfield (Luongo looked lost at times and Manning was not at his best). So having a back 5 meant nothing as we often could not stop them coming forward. Then Washington looked at fault (again) with poor defending for the second goal.... (I wonder if Sylla's better ball-control alongside the dogged Smith would work better?)

After that you could see Ollie mouthing '4-3-3' and the formation did improve, but it took the introduction of Freeman & Lualua to really make a big impact. Freeman's goal was no more than QPR deserved, and on a day with better luck/referee we would have been 2-2 at the end... :tongue
Hoops are coming home, coming home!
