It's in west London and not far from loftus road

Here is another link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38919141

Does anyone know how big the potential site would be? Could we get a 30-40,000 seater in there, plus a running track alongside the stadium (rather than inside)?

In fact its still in W12.

I have my reservations. Yet another switch of focus. One minute we are pursuing the Old Oak project to its climax, next its this. We are nowhere further on Warren Farm either. Just makes me think its yet another project to make the fans happy.

However, The Linford Christie Stadium is a lot of space and would be perfect for redevelopment!

That answers my query then! Guess the follow-up question would be: Why have we not pursued this option before? it does not sound like a second choice as it stands...or is it all about making extra money from the better building development options at Old Oak?

We have! It came to nothing. I'll have a look online to see what I can find.

Only going from memory, wasn't it something to do with road / train access that stopped us moving forward?

Yes there was some drawback to us going to the scrubs.
I'm sure it came up in early fans forum. :tu

Let's face it the linford stadium is a crap hole
He likes the idea himself, yes access in and out of the stadium are issues
But it's an idea that's worth proposing and seeing if it can be done or not
Loftus road is well past its sell by date,I love the place but it's stuck in the dark Ages
They will get a fortune if they sell the land as we know it will for new homes etc
I'd love us to have a new stadium we just need a decent team to play in there now

I think this is unlikely; it would require an Act of parliament to repeal the Wormwood Scrubs Act 1879 which prohibits building and protects:
The public's right to enjoy Wormwood Scrubs is protected in perpertuity - it may not be taken back wholesale by the military or sold unless the area "ceases to be used by the citizens of London"

Do not pass go and go directly to jail

We won't need a flashy new stadium playing in league one anyway

Hmmm....if they have already agreed to a running track & facilities then surely a stadium that would be used by the citizens too is not stretching things too far..?
