me: stay or go?

Postby Tonto » Wed Dec 21, 2016 1:14 pm

Getting very fed up with the negativity associated with the club and the increasing amount on here.

I used to come on here to have interesting debates, but these days im doing it less and less in any case as I find myself increasingly further away from the general opinion on here...

:rofl Well if it's any consolation I started the TF thread just as a reaction to the Holloway one, I wasn't seriously suggesting TF should go, just trying to generate a slightly different debate as all anybody seems to do on here is call for the head of any manager who isn't delivering results this week.

Personally I'm with you, I'd like to see us build something slowly and would have happily given JFH all season if not longer...I think he's a winner and a pragmatist and I think sacking him and getting Holloway back was a step backwards.

Regarding interesting debates...I'd love one...you start! :wink

The forum will reflect the form of QPR.

The day after the play off final every post was positive.

After years of insipid football since and 5 straight defeats who is going to be posting jolly stuff? There is little positivity around the club at the moment so surely the forum will be based on negative topics?

Nothing for anybody to apologise for.

Your last few posts have killed debate, just sarcastic remarks like "we are all doooooommed I tells ye..." which seems counter intuitive to the point you are trying to make about interesting debates.

Fair enough... I know when I'm not wanted.

Bye all.. enjoy drowning in you own self pity. It used to be fun and it was nice meeting those that I did.

Variety of views the spice of life.
If we were all to be happy and not critical about aspects of the club how boring would that be.
And how untrue it would be also. :tu

You are wanted, everybody is wanted.

But nobody can dictate the mood of a forum, the club and form of QPR do that.

Tonto, hang in there mate. You should stay, TF should stay, IH should stay and LF should stay.
Different people have different views and different ways of dealing with the disappointment - and there's plenty of that right now.
Olly has a job to do now. You can't sack him after 5 games. I still think that we have some decent players at this level and it's Olly's job to piece together the jigsaw and make it happen. Obviously not that easy a job but we've chosen him to do it and have to give him a chance.
It's too late to discuss whether or not he was the right man for the job and whether JFH should have been given longer. We are where we are and we have to make the best of it.

Tonto as a long time reader but not much of a poster I say stay, we glass half fullers that don’t post often need you to put our point across and balance the scales.

Also surprised you dipped out after one response bit shabby!!

Happy Christmas all.

The thing is, it quite clearly isn't all of us who veer to the negative side - I for one always try to remain positive no matter how bad the team's form is.

So to suggest that all of us are apparently drowning in self pity indicates an unpleasant narkiness that is equally bad form, like the sarcastic passive-aggressive comments I used to receive from a particularly rubbish ex-girlfriend.

So if you're gonna be like that then merry xmas mate - careful the door doesn't hit you on the arse when you stomp out.
