Rangers' started
the game with an eclectic line up of old campaigners, fringe players
and trialists. Chris Day was in goal, the back four consisted of
Jack Perry at right back, Matthew Rose and trialist Lewis Hamilton
in the centre with Gino at left back.
Gareth
Ainsworth, Marcus Bean, Wes Daly and Kevin McLeod lined up in
midfield with the combination of Paul Furlong and Jamie Cureton up
front.
A goal less
first half saw Olly make a host of changes, Marcus Bignot came on at
right back, naughty Arthur Gnohere replaced Rose, Martin Rowlands
and Richard Johnson were bought on for Ainsworth and Bean whilst
Thorpe and Gallen were the new front two.
The changes
reaped immediate reward, Martin Rowlands putting Rangers ahead just
a minute into the second half.
Bean and
Ainsworth returned to the field after 65 minutes, replacing Daly and
McLeod and ten minutes later it was 2-0 to Rangers, with Kevin
Gallen doubling the lead. Rangers dominance was confirmed in the
dying seconds, Tony Thorpe netted to make the final score 3-0.
All in all it
appears to have been a good first work out and all eyes will now be
on Inverness this Saturday who will doubtless prove a interesting
challenge
