The Monthly Awards Sunday 9th October 2005 by Ron Norris

| Player of the Month | |||||||||||||||||||

Most of the votes cast were shared between two players but it was Marc Nygaard who just nicks top spot off Lee Cook by the tightest of margins. His two goals against Millwall and Leicester, and his performances in those games, were enough to edge out Cookie. Danny Shittu follows in third place with nearly 17%. Gareth Ainsworth did well to get up to fourth spot, just under 14% of you voted for Wild Thing. Don't forget to look out for Skinner's Re-View next week when Simon will look back over Nygaard's performances throughout the month. |

Things were much more cut and dried in the goal of the month vote and this time it is Lee Cook who ends up the winner. His strike against Luton took over 60% of the votes cast leaving Nygaard's goal against Leicester in second place and Danny Shittu's effort Southampton in third. |

| Match of the Month | |||||||||||
|
With only two wins in the month it's no surprise that the match of the month vote wasn't particularly close either and the away win over Leicester took the spoils by a country mile. That game was chosen by nearly 70% of you and the home win against Luton came second with around 17% of the vote. |
